New UI - New home page feedback

I am visually impaired.  I often have a beef with the text and the contrast.  But you guys did it right.  Only a few minor things that I don't care for but nothing that prevents me from being able to use this new interface.  Please keep up the great work.

Older UI looked cleaner and more intuitive. I would love to have an option to switch back to it.

Could you go into more detail about what you're finding hard? It's pretty much the same information, structured in a very similar way (albeit with a new block for collections).

I am not the OP but I can give you list of what I find hard:

 

1) if you search for a game that you want to add to your favorites list the little flag does not appear on the first try, if you do the exact same search again then the flag appears.  How many people are going to figure that out? I tested on Brave and Chrome and Oblivion Remastered finally appeared on my favorites list several minutes after I gave up trying to add it to the list.

2) the new banner at the top of the page needs to be somewhere else.  It is information that I couldn't care less about and its the first thing I see.

3)  the new homepage background is terrible.  It is so "busy" that it obscures the the information in the foreground.

4) no list view.  If I search for mods by most endorsed, I want to see them in descending order not 1-5 6-10 11-15 etc.

5) there should be the option to minimize sections that we have no interest in. For me that would be collections and media.  I would suggest looking at civfanatics.com.  I am only interested in Civ 4 so I can minimize the rest of the site so I do not need to scroll thru 7 6 and 5 to get to 4.

6) the white on black is very hard to read especially when you make lists in your posts with the text in bold white it runs together as a white blob not readable text

7) as I stated in another post the reason we liked list view is that it was "clean"  you are trying to bombard us with so much information crammed so tightly together that it makes it difficult to process

8 ) I don't know how many people mod games on phones or tablets, but creating a PC mod website to cater  to mobile devices seems counter intuitive

9) the favorite games list needs to be returned to alphabetical order

10) taking away options always fails add and enhance but don't eliminate

This UI is actively hard for me to use, is there a setting somewhere for me to go back? Even if it's unsupported that's fine.

It's impossible to read and the search results don't work either, I miss when it was case sensitive cause now you have to scroll for a while. It's hard to use on both PC and mobile, it's actually worse on mobile.

I'm sorry to say, this is the absolute worst the Nexus UI has ever been. What happened? Is it unfinished or something?

I would like to revert back to the old layout if this is possible? This new layout is such a mess.

Hi all, this seems like the most recent thread for the new ui as the last one got closed after an update while mentioning some settings things.

 

Is there an easy way to use the old layout?  With how my brain works and parses info the new ui is a bit difficult for me to navigate to the point of being frustrating and is actually a cause of accessibility issues.  I'm not saying get rid of the new one cause I know the new one likely works well for others, but just a way for those of us that have a better/easier/more accessible usage with the old ui should have the option to use it?

New UI and some of the...earlier responses I've seen about criticism on other sites makes me feel like whoever pulled the plug on the roll out was trying to gate keep people with certain neurodivergencies/accessibility needs out of the largest modding repository is all.

Terrible layout, terrible UI, and why does having to upload multiple images in the description have to be so painful?  Why does it take having to reload the page twice in order for my pics to finally submit?  Nexus team is doing such a horrible job with the new changes that nobody asked for.  Sad sad sad

I absolutely loath the new layout and hope you revert it as soon as possible.
