maderiox
Very difficult to use the new layout The person who designed the layout does not understand what buttons users often use.
Happybara
We are currently moving different bits of feedback into separate threads. This is so that we can better group your suggestions by theme, which will be more useful to us than one ever-expanding mega-thread. As always, we appreciate your continued feedback. Please keep your comments as civil and constructive as possible. This section is for feedback related to how useful/usable the new UI pages are. LordRegal
I'll chime in again with my feedback that's relating to usability here so it's clear and actionable: The button to "view more mods" at the end of the 16 newest mods on a game's landing page goes to a page with 20 mods. However, the first 16 of those mods are the exact same mods that were on the landing page. The old site, when you clicked on "more mods" (or whatever the button was called on that version) you started on either the next mod, or the last mod of the previous page depending on the situation. The current functionality is far less useful because it means you have to scroll past the same 16 mods you just looked at to see four new ones before needing to click _again_ to move on to a page with 20 actually new mods, whereas before you'd have a page with all new/almost all new mods right off the bat. This feels like a reduction in usability. I also feel that the collections banner being where it is hurts usability for the average user. I strongly believe the average user would be more interested in the trending mods and newest mods than a complete collection. I don't think the collections bar should be removed, but rather should be moved below newest mods and put before the media section. This way it's still in a mod-related area, but not impeding the old use cases of the old site where trending and newest were conveniently right next to each other.
xRay4004
On 3/27/2025 at 2:20 PM, Vitz said: Please display categories on a mod's thumbnail again. Example: What the hell am I supposed to gather from this? Turns out it's a quest mod, but I had to open the mod page to find out. Why even remove this functionality? Expand That's a great catch, I didn't even realize that they took away the Categories for the Hot mods. Very unfortunate they removed this QoL feature. Also makes me wonder why the removed the text on the mods for the lower 3 ones and not the big ones above instead of having it the same.
MisterFrog1973
Hi, I like the new layout, but the filter section needs "File name contains" field. Otherwise we have to start over and reapply all other filters. Thanx.
megaman2k
You send a notification when someone comments on a mod but it's NOW a pain in the ass to find them. Used to, comments were sorted on most recent replies. Edit: I may also be getting notifications for old mod comments. Even if I search for usernames on the current page, I see nothing new. Also, this shows up on my mods despite being opted in: "This mod is currently not opted in to our mod rewards program. Opt-in"
ThatOneDudeK
Sry in advance, as my english isn't the very best, but i try make it understandable^^ I would like to make a suggestion to the new designed UI at mod pages of the games. Here it's now so, that when selecting a game you get to the front page on where you also find "mods". I find myself everytime get there, check the mods, just to press "view more" at mod's bottom. To then again see the mods i've checked already, that were visible before, with only a handful new on bottom that now are visible , to then go for the next page. First thought okay, but after a bit i realized that it becomes quite annoying a little bit. So i thought why not change it? Make it more user friendly. Maybe by having all mods of the 1st page visible and getting straight to the 2nd page of mods by pressing "view more" would be more comfortable. So by press view more, not scroll down and not see the mods again you saw before and search for the few you didnt at bottom. I know, just one click less, but i feel it would make it a bit more smooth. No big thing and idk if i'm alone with it. But felt like sharing, as this small chance would feel lots better to me. However, thx for all your effort you put into your site. As overall, i really like it. P.S. If my explanation was bad to understand pls feel free to lmk. Edit: See there is now a "View all" added. Makes it a bit better, thx.
JasonDayspring
New UI is unusable, but the owners don't care and close all requests for a way to revert the site, so I'll continue not using it, not renewing my subscription, and patiently waiting for nexus to be replaced by something that actually works. JayJeffJackson
the search is weirding me out. i type for example "skyclimb" and find unrelated mods first. now i have to click "view all" to scroll through the results, because now for some reason the scrollable list was removed and the new results window has 8 places only(also, im at the mods page trying to find things, why would the search result window waste space with "images" and "videos" where i did absolutely not look for them). skyclimb while having 1 million downloads is NOT at the first position but far behind some chinese and portuguese translations and completely different mods that share the same letters. its at the very last, while matching every letter and having 10x more downloads. for "ai overhaul" i had to scroll SEVENTEEN pages of mods to find it, and the mod was at page 16. it gave me things like main menu overhaul, divines overhaul first and ukr-AI-nian translations of ANY overhaul mod. things that dont match the search text but use the same letters SOMEWHERE are prioritized over the famous mods im trying to find by accurate typing. you can change it to prefer downloads, that sort ofworks if youre looking for famous ones, setting "name" to preferred still gives pretty random results. for comparison i tested google of course, instantly found both mods with ease among trillions of other things, and placed them on the first page- while nexus search drunkenly dropped a bag of anything remotely close onto the table after showing me pictures of its pet turtle.
