KojoBailey
People like modding their console games. Nothing new, not surprising, and so it's strange that Nexus Mods lacks a way for mod authors to specify releases for different platforms. Instead, it is expected that mod files are a "one size fits all". What if someone specifically wants to look for Switch-compatible mods? The only way for this is possible at the moment is if all mod authors for a game unanimously agree to include keywords like "Switch" or "PS3" in their titles. Nexus Mods already allows games that are console-exclusive, so there is no reason that adding platform categorisation and specification options would be any more risky in terms of... I-don't-even-know-what laws. 1
MsNasus
Very much agree, this will help distinguish mods that do or don't need optmizations to make them work on other platforms, as a console player I always have to make backups for my base games in case a mod doesn't work for it, so It would be great to know beforehand.
