How to report/request a mod category update when the mod author is no longer active?

Many mods I've seen have incorect categories applied. So searching for the category 'gameplay' for example, give mods that should be under the categorey 'save games' which means unfortunately to accurately get all the correct mods, I must not use the categories feature.

How to fix this for mods that no longer have active modders?

Feel free to report the mod using the button on the page. If the moderator reviewing the case agrees with your suggestion, they can change it.

What is the limit to what I am to report as I have seen over 150 mods over the past two weeks incorrectly cateogrized. If this is too many to report and reporting will be getting my account banned, I will instead not use the category feature as it is broken in its current state.

It doesn't really matter, you can pick "Inappropriate" then "Other" IIRC

has there been any official ruling for the question above? As currently, I am finding the serach feature impossible to use accurately due to the categories not working correctly.

There isn't any problem with reporting a bunch of mods, provided all the reports are valid. What do you mean by categories being broken? Are you experiencing a bug or have the authors simply miscategorised their mods?
