LordOfAshes0192
Myself and other modders have been porting over mods using construction set on the original Oblivion release. Realizing that under the "remaster" of Oblivion lies the original game in itself, I started experimenting with installing the construction set directly into Oblivion remaster to streamline the modding pipeline. Here is how I did this. STEP 1: Download BSG's Oblivion construction set from The Elder Scrolls Construction Set - the Oblivion ConstructionSet Wiki STEP 2: Navigate to \SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Content\Dev\ObvData STEP 3: Move the Construction Set installer into the ObvData folder and run the installer STEP 4: It will tell you that you do not have Oblivion installed and then give you an option to change the directory of the installation. Direct the installation to \SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Content\Dev\ObvData STEP 5: Navigate to \SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Oblivion Remastered and create a new folder. Name it Data. When you save your .esp files, save them to this newly created Data folder. Note: Your .esp files will not appear in this folder. They will actually save to \SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Content\Dev\ObvData\Data Don't ask me how or why this works, it just does. STEP 6: Run TESConstructionSet.exe - you are now able to work directly with the files from Oblivion Remastered. Optional: I also recommend downloading xEdit and Fix NL - Copy Name from Previous Override - xEdit Script at Oblivion Remastered Nexus - Mods and community by MadAborModding and following his instructions on fixing the [NL] prefixes that will show on your custom content. Digineaux
My CS CTDs when saving. It does seem to create an esp file in "ObvData\Data", but it's 0 bytes in size and isn't detected by the CS. Any tips for troubleshooting this? Im currently verifying game files in hopes it's soemthing that simple.
DrakkonokHarleKayne
I can't seem to get two items to spawn. I've tried using console commands, placing them in the test cell, but neither are working. I can open the CS and edit no problem, it just doesn't seem to affect anything in game. Any help would be wonderful, thanks.

You need to save it in the Steam\steamapps\common\Oblivion Remastered\Data folder because the Construcion Set is looking for a /data/data path so you put the save path to that and it saves it in "steamapps\common\Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Content\Dev\ObvData\Data" where it belongs and where you need to write the esp in the Plugin.txt So just set it to "......Steam\steamapps\common\Oblivion Remastered\Data" and it just works. CoolRobertBaratheon
1) Do you need to download Construction Set 1.0 or 1.2 and do you need to install associated patch to it? 2) Installer automatically creates common/oblivion directory without asking me to choose one 3) How do you create an empty esp to work with?

Wouldn't work for me. After a restart and some troubleshooting i started getting an error box pop up when trying to save. It said it couldnt find ".Steam\steamapps\common\Oblivion Remastered\Data\Data". So i just created another Data folder in the Data folder and it just worked... don't ask me how or why. The newest one that supports oblivion, which is probably the enwest one. When you first install the CS you get a prompt for file path on the 3rd or 4th confirmation window. Make sure you choose the the deep data path referenced in the OP. To create a a new .esp, simply click save and save it. The file is created when you save and name it.
