pannonian
I'm only like 20hrs in so far - Yeah I don't have a lot of time, working adult here- but since I'm riding the nostalgia train here with the game, I can't help not to notice - also as a former modder of Skryim- some glitches and bugs. The list will probably grow as I advance 1. Equipped weapon/ equipment menu glitch: Whatever you were holding in the game, and you hit tab or escape - your portrait is either showing you being unarmed or holding his/her hand in a way like holding those weapons, if you have your weapon/shield already holstered (key F). You can try this with a staff and in the menu screen your hand is in a position that still holding the staff - but there is no staff. 2. Climbing a hill while running can be very slow / either bug or a feature/ There are areas where running uphill is extremely slow. I'm not talking about unscalable spots, but grassy spots that aren't as steep as other locations. It feels like skating uphill or sliding uphill and not climbing uphill. The way you can test it is start from standing position and start running uphill. Some areas it works fine, while others with not more steeper than the previous, it's a slow crawl. 3. Some light effects aren't working. (needs more testing) If you cast a star light spell, it doesn't really light up much. I understand this is a novice spell, but it's 99.9% useless. "Needs more testing" because I tried this with different graphics settings except ultra. So it's not a graphics setting issue. I also have an OLED monitor with very good dark levels and I am not seeing if it lights up anything at all. If it does, it's too minimal to be useful. There are maybe other light FX not working correctly or not implemented. 4. The bow/arrow shooting is still not as great - the target distance vs. arrow drop down is very inconsistent. If you aim at an npc that is far away, you will have to aim well above his/her head to hit, but have that same character approach just a bit and now I have to directly aim at his/her head to hit. There is very little transition between the 2, shooting always an trial and error, instead of getting experienced in it and doing a good guess how far above to aim. 5. All NPCs are expert snipers still. I know this is a Bethesda Gamebryo/ Creation engine feature (read: game engine limitation). But heck, it's annoying that every single npc is a sniper with the bow or with their spells. Now, with the faster traveling arrow in the remastered version, they almost always hit, unless there in obstacle in the way, which makes them keep shooting their arrows into it. Gotta find a way to reduce their effectiveness, based on their level and skill. They cannot hit just every time and their misses cannot be just objects in the way.
