joeywuest361
@guillin This solution worked flawlessly for me. However I did notice those two lines that @Blaten mentioned AltarGymNavigation.esp TamrielLeveledRegion.esp were added to my game however after verifying my game files everything worked properly. After restoring the file to the original load order of the base ESP, there were no more issues. So Uninstall all the mods in Vortex. Then delete all the lines in the plugins.txt file and copy in the original load order. After that, you can reinstall the mods through Vortex without any issues. The correct load order is as follows: Oblivion.esm DLCBattlehornCastle.esp DLCFrostcrag.esp DLCHorseArmor.esp DLCMehrunesRazor.esp DLCOrrery.esp DLCShiveringIsles.esp DLCSpellTomes.esp DLCThievesDen.esp DLCVileLair.esp Knights.esp AltarESPMain.esp AltarDeluxe.esp AltarESPLocal.esp Expand Shout-out to Guillin and Blaten in earlier posts. Using both their comments, I was able to make things work and wanted to share my experience on how I fix mine through Vortex. In Vortex, on the side tab menu, under "Oblivion Remastered" is the tab "Load Order" This is where you need to arrange the load order as per Guillin's post. Make sure to untick all your mods and arrange these as the list in the quote. However Vortex will add two files as per Blaten's post. AltarGymNavigation.esp TamrielLeveledRegion.esp Those two are fine to keep just make sure they are at the bottom of order from Guillin's post. Now add your mods in and make sure they are after Guillin's list (extremely important!) This will set you up for getting the files loading correctly however still might not solve your problem. The "nail in the coffin" for me, came from some mods adding multiple files into the mix, example standard/deluxe edition.. my recommendation is to untick all mods and tick those with one load file. Those with multiple make sure to only tick the one relevant to your edition. You could further go by ticking one mod, running the game and seeing if it works. This will definitely make sure you know which file is corrupting the order. Thanks again to those before me whom assisted in getting this right for us!! Now I'm off into the world, only to be reminded that many have fought mud crabs more fearsome than me!!! LOL

duderrr
Can VORTEX get it the f together? WHAT IS TAKING SO LONG TO FIX THIS? Makes me wonder why the f i even bother paying for premium for the many years that i have..
kon12
I think the issue is vortex has no masterlist to work with so it just creates a plugins.text listing everything alphabetically by default until you edit the load order yourself

After looking at the load order before / after I install any mod it litterally just jumbles them up. The game itself (oblivion.esm) is one of the last things to load. No wornder it crashes. So just put whatever mods you have at the very end after that. Refreshing the list in Vortex will change the order maybe slightly, as one of the defaults .esm's was placed at the very end, but you can either manually move it up in vortex or try running it as is if it doesnt crash. Expand This is what helped me, and allowed me to keep the mods i manually downloaded and added to the esp file. for some reason vortex moved oblivion.esm from being first. thank you, saved me a massive headache.
