Authorization Merry go round

i have 1.13.7 of vortex installed and im trying to add a mod collection for star dew valley. I click on the add collection button and the vortex mod module and tells me i need to log in or register. Click the login button and a tab to authorize pops into my firefox browser. However when i click the authorize button on the firefox browser, the vortex module still says its waiting for the authorization even tho the browser screen says i have logged in successfully. I have tried going the route of getting a token, but i do not receive one. I have a code that says i can put it into the application but i do not know where.

i have tried restarting vortex, restarting my computer. uninstalling and reinstalling vortex, tried to use nexus on firefox and chrome to no avail.

please help
