EliteCombatZ Posted April 26 Posted April 26 Hi everyone, I've downloaded several mods from this website, but I'm running into issues getting some of them to work. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if there are inconsistencies in the instructions from different modders. Some modders say to copy the mod title exactly as it appears on the mod page and add .esp when listing it in the plugins.txt file. Others say to copy the name of the downloaded file and add .esp. And some even mention that you can't have any spaces in the plugin name when you add it to plugins.txt. I'm really confused because about half of my mods are working fine, but the other half don't even work. I see people arguing in the posts tab of mod pages as to what is the correct way, I'm just so lost. Could someone help clarify the correct process? I'm new to downloading mods from this site and would really appreciate any guidance. Thanks in advance!
Amuel321 Posted April 28 Posted April 28 I haven't run into any issues so far, the method I use is after pasting the .esp into C:\XboxGames\The Elder Scrolls IV- Oblivion Remastered\Content\OblivionRemastered\Content\Dev\ObvData\Data I just copy the name of the .esp directly from the file I just pasted and paste it in the Plugins.txt. No spaces, just a new line. Hopefully this helps.
Noobatron22 Posted April 29 Posted April 29 You need to be specific exactly what mods you are installing, some of them do not go in the data folder, but the ~mods folder instead.
Digineaux Posted April 29 Posted April 29 the plugins.txt must contain the filename of the mods.esp. If the mod is OverwhelmingOrcs.esp , then thats what must be written in plugins.txt. Do not use the nexus pages title or anything else.
