trippycruise Posted May 1 Posted May 1 (I think) I have finally figured out how to do completely custom textures from Substance Painter, both _D.png and _NNRM.png (will do further testing tomorrow, but seems very promising) This means we can now completely retexture assets from scratch, not just their colours, but also their normal, metallic and roughness maps. I'm yet to try out added emission, but from what I can tell that is fairly simple. (I will update tomorrow after work, or over the weekend probably. I have made a very crude example just to test extremely different materials (Metal, fabric and scales) all working correctly with Metallic, Normal and Roughness. If people like this enough I will try to figure out how to make a mod page with a PDF explanation download of the steps needed all the way from setting up your Substance Painter scene, fModel, setting the images up correctly in Unreal Engine to exporting the .pak files https://imgur.com/a/RwmaBnK
trippycruise Posted May 1 Author Posted May 1 A slightly less egregious example just for proof of concept before I head to bed. https://imgur.com/a/WTq0J07
