Make entries (like collections) recoverable to the user (ie. for an hour after deleting)

Recommended Posts

Hi,

since the website sometimes acts funny, ie. it does something different than what the button you clicked had written on it, a temporary backup of deleted content (for me collections, maybe other content as well) may be very helpful.. if it doesn't exist already (If so, I couldn't find it, sadly).

I wrote how to reproduce the problems that made me want such a temporary backup feature below.
This could go into bug reports, too, later.. after I have rewritten my 8kb of formatted creator notes all over again.

Bye!

Steps:

* Create new collection in Vortex and "Upload New"
* Edit texts in collection website and Save
* Click on wheel on the mod draft to remove the draft.
* Popup suddenly talks about "Oh BTW I will delete all of this, not just the draft", which muscle memory and dark design patterns gladly ignore and proceed to delete ALL of this instead of the intended mod list.

Result:

All the collection texts (summary, creator notes) are gone along with the rest of the newly created collection.

Fun - Addendum:

While trying to recover older versions of those texts from another tab, the following happened:
* Old tab became active.
* Old tab instantly overlays a popup saying something along the lines of "oh this is adult content which you don't allow" (while being logged in and while allowing adult content via the user account settings)
* The design pattern urges you to click on the right button in order to reload the page.

Result:

This causes the browser to forego the texts' possible recovery by removing those not only from the old browser tab (ie. from browser memory), but also from the browser's cache (by instantly reloading the URL, while trying to load the non-existing collection page).
