Disabling 'Auto Vanity Mode' (auto camera rotation around player)

I haven't seen this anywhere on the internet, but you can change the time it takes for 'auto vanity mode' to kick in (when the camera starts to rotate around your character after 2 minutes of inactivity) OR completely disable it in the console.

To disable it entirely, at the command console, enter:

       'vts.Camera.VanityTimeToActivate 0' 

or an amount of time to set it to initiate, eg:

      'vts.Camera.VanityTimeToActivate 3600' (1 hour).

 

In my tests, it appears you have to reinput the command every tme you restart the game. Not perfect, but I don't know how you could set it up to remain permanent across restarts, but maybe someone else does?

You can make this change permanent by adding it to 'Engine.ini' located at:

'Documents\My Games\Oblivion Remastered\Saved\Config\Windows'

under the heading [SystemSettings], eg:

[SystemSettings]
vts.Camera.VanityTimetoActivate=0
