Feedback on Melee Combat Mechanics in Oblivion vs. Remaster

Many people considered Original Oblivion's melee combat to be one of its weakest aspects. I disagree. Aside from the way staggering was implemented, I found that Old School Oblivion's combat allowed for much more creativity and imagination.

What do I mean by that? Starting with Skyrim and continuing into the Remaster, the swing speed of many melee weapons was significantly reduced and restricted to limited combos, often followed by a short cooldown. I've never been a fan of this change. In the original game, you could swing your weapon quickly and freely until you ran out of fatigue. This felt much more responsive and gave players far more freedom in how they approached combat, making it a more engaging and imaginative experience for me.

The game was faster, and rewarded reaction speed and skill. And while combat definitely has more impact, it's just too slow.

I would love to see a mod that restores the original swing speeds and removes the imposed cooldowns, particularly for Claymores, which have been nerfed the most egregiously.
