I haven't seen anything in the currently created mods that would fit the idea of what I would like for my gaming experience so I would humbly request this idea if anyone has both the experience and free time required to make it happen. What I would like to see is a mod which limits the player characters abilities somewhat through a unique sort of class system. The base system would remain the same as the original, your class picks 7 major skills which overall define the playstyle you are trying to go for. However, I would then like to have to pick an additional 7 skills to be minor skills. The difference would be that these seven skills would be limited to a max skill level of 50 and would level slower than your major skills just like the original game. After selection of both major and minor skills all other remaining skills would be locked in at level 5, lost skills I suppose unable to ever be raised regardless of the means.

Why do I want a system like this? I kind of dislike the idea of your character being some epic God hero who can do everything, I think it's perfectly fine that you could be great in a number of ways given the effort and determination to succeed but I think that your results should still be limited. I think this way I could still make an awesome character but not one that can do everything well. I like a certain amount of reality mixed in with my fantasy, so the idea of the player character being good at everything seems silly. Also, I think having limitations can make you get creative when needed, so long as all skills are an option you can always just cheese your way out of situations.

You might say I could just choose not to level skills I don't want, and you would be right, but it depends. Certain quests rewards give you those skills, skill books exist and even if I don't want to level mercantile it's kind of hard to play the game without the ability to sell items because of fear of accidentally leveling up a skill I wanted to leave untouched. I would rather play the game free to explore and do what I wish knowing I don't need to reload a save now because I found a book in a dungeon which I didn't realize was a skill book and accidentally leveled up something I wasn't using.

If a mod that does this sort of thing already exists, I do apologize in advance, I was unable to find any of the nexus at least which have already done something along these lines. Anyways thank you for taking the time to read what I had to say!
