BoulderWest
I have attempted several solutions to try to get Vortex to work with me, however the main issue I'm finding is that nothing I do works. Ready or not and the staging folder are on the same drive, I've tried to rename/delete the staging folder JSON file, I've made sure WinRAR is up to date, and I've tried rolling my Vortex version back to the previous version. None of those worked. The section where I would select a deployment method is red with "No deployment method available."
BoulderWest
When I try to stop managing the game, it says "Failed to purge mods deployed for this game. To ensure there are no leftovers before Vortex stops managing the game, please solve any setup problems for the game first."
ChemBoy1
What is the detailed text of the error saying deployment is not available? Does it say something about a folder not being writable?
BoulderWest
This is what's shown after clicking on "Fix" from the notification. The notification itself only shows "Mods can't be deployed"
ChemBoy1
Press the Next button.... That screenshot tells me nothing. It will give a reason why each deployment method could not be used.

Solution ChemBoy1 Posted Tuesday at 01:12 AM Solution Share Posted Tuesday at 01:12 AM Are you using an external drive? It says your file system does not support hardlinks nor symlinks. This is usually because of exFAT file system. You must use only NTFS drives with Vortex.
BoulderWest
Ah. I shucked the drive and have it installed in the PC, but I have so much installed on the drive. Formatting it for NTFS would wipe so much out of the drive, and I'm pretty sure that i wouldn't be able to recover it all.
ChemBoy1
If you have another drive, you can copy files to it, then format the drive and copy them back.
