Hello! first time here i want to create a labradore mod for oblivion/skyrim in honor of my past good boy Atlas. No idea where to start.

As title says im brand new too creating mods, any and all resources would help i want to create a labrador companion npc in oblivion and skyrim for me to use on my adventures, it doesnt have to be a 1-1 any generic lab model would work. Just no idea where to start.
