App Config files management

I wish there will be a more robust solution to mod config files management. Currently if you update a mod, the changes to the config file will be overwritten. I think maybe adding a diff editor (like in vscode, in fact, how about just opening vscode if installed?) so you can choose how to merge changes if any.
