Antisthetic Posted May 24 Posted May 24 So I play a masc dragonborn and use the bt1 Can anyone else replicate the issue? I hear feminine player sounds and Sceleritas Fel called him "milady". I have the correct gender marker and voice for a masc character [even temp switched form the no genitals mod to a penis to try and see if THAT was the issue] so i'm a bit put off by it. The companions react to him normally, though so i'm guessing it's a bug. I reported it to Larian but they sent me to the modding troubleshoots so i want to be sure before i double down with the fact that this is a bug. You'll encounter it pretty early on, in the cutscene where the player is thrown around the Nautiloid you'll hear a feminine grunt when they're thrown against the wall and if you want to go further you'll hear it again when you pull gale out of the rune. I was fine with it originally seeing as it was just a few sounds here and there but with Sceleritas calling him Milady? It makes me think its more deeply rooted than that. I mean the misgendeirng from the bad guys is a great way to roleplay a trans character, especially as Durge, seems in character. But, even though he's on the trans spectrum, my character's voice is masculine. At least his butler would know to call him by Milord or something at least. If you can't replicate it then well, i gotta narrow down what mod is causing it but i have no idea what mod could change that. 1
blaurascon Posted June 27 Posted June 27 just started a new save and running into this as well - tav, masc dragonborn body type 1, masculine voice option (5), genitals vulva, though it sounds like you already tried the other genital configurations with no luck? i'm still super early (just yanked gale out of the rock) so i haven't really run into much of any gender-based dialog yet, but the mismatched oof ouch sounds are super jarring on their own this was happening prior to me installing any mods, so i think we can narrow it down that it's a game bug and not a mod bug 1

My friend on console experiences this as well with bt1 trans characters with the other races. Larian didn't respond to me doubling down as far as I know so I would definitely make a bug report yourself. I might make another bug report, this time selecting unmodded. Make sure to select unmodded in your report too otherwise they'll send the generic mod troubleshoot response which it's not. Imo, its ridiculous that the sound effects and cutscenes are locked vocally to body type and not the voice you choose. This needs to be fixed ASAP, i really want to play my dragonborn durge but with this bug it just.. breaks the whole experience. Like I said the misgendering would make sense from the bad guys if that was the intention and it was worked in story-wise but i don't think it is intended and it's definitely not changed story-wise as a trans character.
