Error opening resource path 'G:/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/Starfield/Data/Starfield - TexturesPatch.ba2': error
opening archive file or directory 'G:/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/Starfield/Data/Starfield - TexturesPatch.ba2'

1.  Yes, that ba2 exists in my data directory.  It only contains some houdini sky textures.

2.  Yes, I've verified files in Steam, and even deleted the file and re-downloaded it.

I'm getting CTD when using the build menu, and as near as I can tell it's caused by damaged NIFs that rely on materials which use textures from that file.

Is there a way to get the previous version of that file?  I could merge it with the current version to create a working one.

Are you still on 1.14.74 or did you update?  Version 1.14.74 has that archive, but 1.15.216 doesn't.  If you updated to 1.15.216, they eliminated that archive and replaced it with Starfield - TexturesPatch01.ba2 and Starfield - TexturesPatch02.ba2, at least in my game.  I make copies of my old games onto a desktop hard drive so I have backups.

1.15.  Not on purpose, a game file got screwed up and I had to do a verify to get it back (changing a light to a full master so I could edit a different file that depends on it, and then screwing up the hex edit when I changed it back.)

Thanks for the tip, I sorted out the materials problem in Nifskope.  Now I've got to sort out exactly which constructed object is causing the build menu to crash and taking the game with it.

I updated both the game and the CK, not that I use that thing very often. Did you update your version of CK as well? The old CK might not be working well with the new 1.15.216 game.

Updated the CK, but I wasn't using it.  I hate that thing, resource hungry, takes forever to load on the occasions it doesn't just lock up, etc.

No, this is a case of something being wrong with a specific subset of records in one mod causing the game to crash when scrolling over an entry in the outpost build menu.  Disabling those menu entries fixes the problem, but of course removes the ability to build things that I like to use (specifically catwalks with support pillars; floating catwalks still work.)

Wasn't that mod removed from nexus for some reason? I also have it..... and it works ok for me....

It was removed, no idea why.  But I've made alterations over time, higher foundations, added parts, etc.  Foundation height on platforms and catwalks may be the cause of the problem, I'll have to experiment.
