Language problem

Hello guys

I have a language problem with my Fallout 4. Once I had set my german Fallout 4 to english and now I have set it back. The problem is that I have now both: Some lines in quests or in the common game are now german and some are in english. Especially in quests is this annoying.

Does someone know how I can get back my game in german? I already deleted my Fallout and reinstalled it, inclusive manually deleting the Fallout 4 directory after I deinstalled the game. Somewhere must hide the secret why I still see english lines between my german questlines.

Hast Du mal die Fallout4.ini kontrolliert? Dort findet sich ein Eintrag zur Sprache. Normalerweise ist diese unter ....Documents\My Games\Fallout4. Es sei denn Du verwendest einen Modmanager welcher diese Datei an einer anderen Stelle hat. Was würde passieren wenn Du ein neues Spiel startest? Möglicherweise ist dieses Durcheinander in deine Spielstände eingebacken und dehalb funktioniert es auch nach einer Neuinstallation nicht richtig.

I checked the files and they're set to sLanguage=de (there's a similar file in the Fallout 4 folder), and I just started a new game and parts are in English again. Unfortunately, it didn't work that way

Ich habe die Dateien überprüft und sie stehen auf sLanguage=de (eine ähnliche Datei ist noch im Fallout 4 Ordner) und ich habe gerade mal wieder ein neues Spiel angefangen und wieder sind Teile auf englisch.

Leider hat es wohl nicht so funktioniert

Ist dein Spiel von Steam? Dort ist ebenfalls eine Einstellung zur Sprache. Ich kann allerdings nicht genau sagen welchen Einfluss diese Einstellung hat.

Is your game from Steam? There is a setting for the language, too. Can't exactly say which influence this setting has.

 

Oder Du löschst die drei Ini-Dateien, lässt das Spiel Neue erstellen und machst danach alle notwendigen Einträge erneut.

Or you delete the three ini-files, let the game create new ones and make all necessary entries afterwards again.

True story - Headstart (where they teach you basic German) in Germany.

Teacher:    Benton, where is herr Benton?

My Response:   He went to Scheiße and the hogs ate him.

Found out later the teacher was my Colonel's wife - ugh...   Two weeks in country and already in the doghouse.

Ich habe heute abermals eine Neuinstallation gemacht. Diesmal ohne mods und es funktioniert! Das Rätsel ist nur noch warum eigentlich. Ich habe keine Mods laufen die die ganzen Questtexte überschreiben könnte, außer vielleicht die unoffical f4 upadte file. Egal ich bin froh das es vorbei ist und das Fallout 4 jetzt läuft.

I did another install today. This time without mods and it works! The only mystery is why. I don't have any mods running that could overwrite all the quest text, except maybe the unofficial f4 update file. Regardless, I'm glad it's over and Fallout 4 is running now.
