This shows as soon as launched, once clicked okay on it causes it to immediately close.

To fix this, you'll need to roll back to 0.11.3 and remove the mod with the "bad characters" in it. These are usually Chinese characters. 

Once the mod has been fully removed, update to 0.12.3 again and reinstall the mod.
