Haven't personally noticed inclusive mods being taken down or hidden yet, but I hope they'll adress the concerns about potential content moderation changes.

Social platforms are getting more and more vile, seeing the comments on Dark0ne's post is enough to confirm it; last thing we need is for them to fully welcome bigoted mods.

Yeah. I haven't been active on the forums or posts for maybe 5 years, and that thread was an eye opener. Sooo many vile people here I never noticed before. We have always been arguing on the internet, but at this point you can feel the hate pulsating.

Yeeep, it definitely became worse recently. I'm honestly really happy with Nexus' new Ignore system; came in really handy in that comment section lol

It feels like the news about site ownership change prompted some Gamers-with-a-capital-G in some seedy discord or subreddit somewhere to try and influence things by spamming the comment thread with concerted complaining about "leftist censorship", by which they mean "not tolerating racism and discrimination etc" in the hope of getting their way or at least normalizing their nonsense. If you look at the poster's accounts, the bulk of them (not all) share similar traits: low or zero post counts, low or zero endorsement counts, no mods or images created, almost as if these accounts are either largely dormant or at the very least are not very involved in the community they pretend to care about.

Unfortunately for them, they immediately met pushback from other nexus users and the more extreme ones who were unable to keep the mask on lost their accounts, so I think this attempt to normalize their weird views is failing. They're loud, but on the size of the nexus user population there are not that many. I hope the new owners are paying attention and stay the course in this regard, because they will keep coming back and ruin the platform if you let them.

In which case they'd be wrong. The loud, obnoxious, descriminatory and hateful crowd are definitely in the minority here.

That won't be changing. You want obviously racist, homo/trans-phobic or other offensive material? Go elsewhere. It and you aren't welcome.

You aren't. There's nothing to be protected from, it's just a lot of self-aggrandizement from really online people who don't have a lot of perspective, spending a lot of time dunking on strawmen and conjuring up fanfic backstories for anyone who disagrees.

These are descriptions I'd apply as easily to you, and maybe with a bit more veracity. You immediately jump to deciding anyone who disagrees about anything, for any reason, in any degree, is a random collection of bad no-no words, with zero provocation. I'm homophobic? You sure? I'm homosexual, so that'd be a neat trick. No, these are things you throw out thoughtlessly to shut down conversation, that's all it ever is. Somebody posts an innocuous mod, a harmless comment, whatever it is, you apply all these inapplicable descriptors to them, and anyone who notices the bullshit gets the scarlet letter too. It's senseless.
