I have this weird squares around the giant campfire and i don't know what causes it 😞

I really hope someone can help! Was trying hard find the solution to this problem, but am totally clueless and now helpless too.

If more infos needed pls lmk! I use ENB, have all necessary mods installed, like Particle patch, ENB light, helper etc, enbseries.ini has Complexparticlelight enabled...not having any Fire mod installed.

Another mods i have installed is Lux, Lux Via and Lux orbis with its Patch hub mods.

Truly hope someone can help. I'm quite a newb and iirc had this bug once in the past already and found a fix. But can't remember 😕

Thx in advance for any help, hint, info!

Looks like the lighting isn't tapered... idk... maybe enb, community shaders, or the fire asset itself. (or perhaps another lighting mod is interfering and showing the edges).

... Ok... I found this post (titled "Are Lux partitioned meshes still needed with the Community Shaders") using the search term "lux and community shaders" (I automatically suspected a conflict once I heard Lux AND comm shaders), which might contain related info

I use Community Shaders but not Lux, so I know Nuzzink! about Lux

Omg, you just gave me a hint on something i can try. I don''t have much knowledge on most things, still quite a newb and lots to learn, but now i remember that i changed my reshade preset. Here i switched to one that was for when using community shaders, while i use it with an ENB.
Maybe this is the culprit? I will check out.

Though would be a pity, as everything is so good with this ENB + reshade combo... 😕

Tyvm for trying to help and now giving me an idea!

Edit: I just installed EmbersXD and with this mod everything works fine. Maybe i keep it, as it also makes the fire look better. But again, really appreciate the help ❤️

I've had similar problem and I guess one of the mods was using a bugged mesh. I mean, I think it 'became' wrong because of combining other mods (like, being standalone it was correct, but when another source was casting light on it it became bugged, or something like that).

In my case the culprit was either ENB Light, or NAT.ENB III - I don't recall precisely.

What I did was changing the conflict rule for one or two particular files: giantcampfire01burning.nif and/or giantcampfire01burningnoland.nif

  • So, for instance, my rules were generally: "whatever mod's files" -> "ENB Light" -> "NAT.ENB III"
  • But for those 2 files it was the "whatever" which loaded last, overriding ENB Light and NAT 3.
