Deshebist39 Posted June 21 Posted June 21 I spent a month and a half assembling the game for a new playthrough. Carefully selected and tested mods. Focused on mods with quests and added locations (mostly internal). Survival. Finally, two weeks ago I started a new game. Everything was going well... But three days ago something bad happened with the Starlight location. The game froze within a radius of 3-4 cells. Fast travel also stopped working. I built only the bare minimum there: a dormitory for NPCs, a player house, and a warehouse-workshop with Northland Digger workstations. Yes, I installed the border extension by Neeher. I've read everything there is to know about freezing. I've tried all the tricks. Today, and lo and behold, I was able to slowly enter the settlement. Everything was working. I worked with the workbenches. I slept, I made a hard save. I fast traveled to the Abernathy farm... I tried to fast travel back to Starlight and... an endless black screen... everything froze. Is this the end of the game? Do I have to start all over again? Two weeks of progress wiped out?
subaverage Posted June 21 Posted June 21 (edited) You write that everything worked until 3 days ago. So you could think of things you changed at that time. Did you install/ uninstall mods? You use a settlement extension. Perhaps you can try without. Or perhaps you scrapped something the game needs. You might even have damaged precombines. If a mod is the reason for your problems only starting a new playthrough might not help. Edited June 21 by subaverage 1
