Steam updated my game, without my say so...... which was annoying, so, I am using the latest and greatest version. Started a new game, went thru concord, got the power armor, killed all the baddies, got the settlers back to sanctuary, and.... I can't exit my power armor. I don't get a message about 'can't exit here', the animation just never plays. I can look around, but, that's it. Can't move, can't open the pip-boy, can't fire my weapon, nothin'...... Tried a couple different console commands, but, none of 'em worked. For me, this is game breaking......

I tried loading a mod that used different animations for enter/exit PA, but, that didn't make any difference at all. Same exact problem. Any ideas here? I would really like to play the game, but..... currently, I'm stuck.

I don't know whether this helps in your case, but did you see this?

Other than that I would think of commands like "player.moveto player". Or do you mods interfering with the pa installed?

Interesting.... I tried that command, but, all it did was knock me down, but, I didn't get back up..... Stuck in third person, staring at my prone, armor-encased toon..... I'll give it a shot again though, just for giggles.

Ok, tried it again. Nope. Fall down, stay there..... Tried a different tactic. Went back to sanctuary, went into the lake till I was completely submerged, and was able to exit the armor...... So, just for grins, got back in, walked back to the PA station in Sanctuary, and was able to exit.... Weird.

Thanks for the response at any rate. 😄

Good that you solved your problem. It seems I forgot to mention that the pushaway command shall be used after you tried to exit the pa before and have the glitch. Using it before you try to exit seems to result in knock down only. Another user reported that using "Player.PushActorAway Player 1" after the knock down helped. But who knows. In this game even a simple fast travel might have helped, but that submerging did the trick is perhaps some kind of Bethesda's humor.
