svenskarav Posted June 24 Posted June 24 So i been having a backlog of mods i want to use for a while(well that and Depression) but I'm over the limit of Ba2 files by a smidge So i want to make some loose but i want my mod loader to read them so Vortex in this case and ik Vortex Can read Loose Mods So i just Need to Know how to Format Them So any help with that would be appreciated.
subaverage Posted June 25 Posted June 25 (edited) The first step could be looking through your mod list, check whether your mods have a loose files option and exchange them. Afaik the archived texture files don't count against ba2 limits and I read the it might not be recommendable to unpack them, because of cube maps or such. SImply unpacking the other ba2 files and copying them into Data would have some disadvantages. I don't use Vortex and so I don't know whether it needs special formatting. I could imagine you could download the mod to your drive and unzip it to an own folder. Then unpack the non-texture ba2 into that folder. Delete the packed one and rezip the mod with folder structure. Maybe Vortex can install it as a mod. I never tried this and so I can't be 100% sure that it will work that way. In case you want to try you could use a mod that does not have too many files. So it would not be to much work to revert back. Edited June 25 by subaverage 1
svenskarav Posted June 25 Author Posted June 25 i'm gonna try something about it i'm gonna download some random loose mod and then look at that by unpacking the zip ig i honestly never did this before like i have used a ba2 extractor but i would use it to modify textures for personal use so this will be new to me.
svenskarav Posted June 25 Author Posted June 25 (edited) ok i think i got it down sadly it doesn't create a fomod but hey you just delete the esp of that patch to fix that so what i did was create a empty folder then extracted the ba2 files into it then dragged anything else in the folder into it then zip the folder then drag n drop into the manager and then copy the og nexus mod id then copy paste it to the new loose mod you just created so when you check for updates it can notify you when it does get updated.
