SoCalledShooter Posted June 26 Posted June 26 I would like to suggest that ALL Fallout 4 Mods contain some sort of indication whether they are compatible with the 2024 Bethesda Next Gen Update or not. This could be updated either by the author or maybe by user input regarding it's compatibility. Or info could be forwarded to NexusMods to update the posting. Since Bethesda doesn't seem to have any desire to fix the problem they created which resulted from the 2024 Next Gen Update (NGU) it would be nice if each FO4 mod posted in NexusMods had some way to identify whether that mod was compatible with the NGU or Not. Does the mod only support Pre-NGU Game files or does it function with Post NGU game files or Both? How to indicate this: 1) The Mod listing in NexusMods could either have a new Tab (next to "Images", "Files", "Description" etc....) such as "NGU Compatibility" which would indicate it's status.. OR There could be an icon that shows whether it requires Pre or Post NGU game file configuration. OR Indicated in some other manner....... This way the user could determine whether a particular mod will work with their current setup (Pre or Post NGU game file configuration) before downloading/installing it. 1

Itchytreasuresack Posted July 4 Posted July 4 (edited) This is great, but than the developer of the mod has to have both versions or be switching around to check if it is compatible, and do double the testing... Ouch. just a thought. Also thank you for both bringing up the subject, and Pickysaurus for telling us this exists cos i didn't even notice, very helpful indeeds. Edited July 4 by Itchytreasuresack 1

Ouch. just a thought. Ouch, indeed! I'm certainly not in a position to do that. My pleas to those playing NextGen go unanswered, so I have little hope of ever learning whether my mod works with it or not.
Itchytreasuresack Posted Saturday at 10:53 PM Posted Saturday at 10:53 PM Don't lose hope, maybe someone will make a post explaining all that has been changed in nextgen update, and people can start understanding if their mod has been compromised or not without having to thoroughly test it.
