I repeated what is a reality for MA rights on Nexus Mods, largely because you stated that you didn't understand how I could defend my position.

So, i'm sorry, but i really don't understand how you can defend this. Blocking a user from removing endorsements, even if blocked, is fundamental. And again, as a software developer, my sincere guess is that this was more of an overlook that a decision taken after clear consideration of the side effects (as the moderator was trying to imply).

This may be useful to you in understanding that this policy is not an oversight.

Possibly unpopular opinion, but: If you endorse a mod, then get in a tiff with the author, does that make the mod less good than when you endorsed it?

In my case, I endorsed the mod due to the nature of it and it seemed to be working. Then I had some bugs with another mod. After checking the mods in the CS and other editing tools, I discovered that it was the patch mod that was breaking stuff. Then I discovered that the author had simply copied the changes from another patch mod that required a completely different game! I complained to the mod author and he blocked me. The "fixes" he copied over didn't apply to the game he was patching! So yeah, I wanted to remove my endorsement.

I also posted on the other mods that were being affected to let people know it was the patch mod that was breaking them.

In that situation, maybe contact Nexus based on your inability to resolve it directly with the MA since the mod was creating problems with other mods.

I don't see any justification on that post for blocking the removal of endorsements.

I'm not sure what is your filiation with the Nexus (I'm 100% convinced that your objective is pure and you just want to help people here on the forums), but by trying to justify them so much you are actually contributing for the laziness of the Nexus support team. For instance, 2 days ago i explicitly asked for the community manager to give me an alternative and he/she didn't reply to me. I'm convinced that he/she didn't because he/she though there was no need, since there were already people replying, taking Nexus side and suggesting again that i should go to the "suggestions board" (again).

I'm still waiting for the reply from the community manager. Again, you can't just ask people that have reasonable problems to "go write something on the suggestions board and hey, maybe you get lucky". That's not how a real business work. And make no mistake, even though this is "just" a gaming site, and a good portion of it's users are not even adults, it is a real business.

Unsolicited advice is the worst.  At some point you just tune it out as a creator of anything.

If it is a bug, then bug report with as few words as possible, and move on.

Picky probably didn't respond again because he had already answered your question.  There is currently no way to remove your endorsement, but you are free to suggest they add one and they will consider it if enough people agree with your suggestion.

As I mentioned, I raised this with the recent changes to block/ignore but was overruled.

Fixing the endorsement reminder not to show mods you are blocked from is probably the next thing to do.

A lot of what we changed is pretty much dictated by the new online safety legislation so I can't promise any changes in this area even if there are a lot of people suggesting it.
