Forms of Age verification

Haven't posted on the forums for years, only doing it cuz of the recent announcement post. Regardless of how I personally feel about the enforcement of this rule or the security of sharing such personally identifiable information all over the place, I understand Nexus has their hands tied and pretty much every site with some form of consistent Adult content has as well so there's no complaint to them.

However I do have concerns about how Age verification will be done, it might be early to ask but what are being considered? The usual forms of ID verification for things like age are using Driving Licenses or Passports, but if these are the only things that will be allowed it would effectively block me from viewing any Adult content as I have neither. I don't drive nor do I have a passport so...what other forms of ID could be used? 

I'm also a little iffy on how mods will be decided on being included as 'Adult content', but its up in the air on that.

This is starting to feel too much like an invasion of privacy to me. I've been here 20 years and used the same name in all that time! I also lack passport or driving licence. I've been treated like a non-person for years because I don't drive or go abroad.

I do have a driving license and an old passport. That said, I have no intention of giving anyone my ID for age verification.

I have some mods on Nexus that are tagged as 'Adult' (or requires mods that is). I wonder what this will mean for me. Guess I'll just have to delete those mods.

In many parts of the world, including Europe, it is very dangerous to be associated with the consumption of pornographic material. Anonymity is only theoretical, just like privacy. Being discredited at work or perhaps in court in a case of another nature (for example, divorce or child custody) can be catastrophic. I advise everyone against being identified and associated with adult material. Let’s also remember that based on the type of material consumed, it is possible to infer sexual preferences and trace a detailed psychological profile Too many risks for too little.
