Vortex does not detect my games and I'm unable to download mods

So, I've used vortex for a while. I never had this issue about 2 years or less ago, but in the past few months, both for Schedule 1 and now with Cyberpunk 2077, I have not been able to have Vortex work. 

When I say that I mean it with no exaggeration. I have downloaded the mod installer over and over. I have sat here trying to find clues, but everything leads to the fact I cannot add mods without manual download.

I should also add that it doesn't even allow it to detect extensions. Can someone, anyone help me identify any solutions with this set of problems.

We need error messages and logs and a basic description of exactly what is not working.
