new install, vortex 14.7, complains about dotnet - specifically hostfxr.dll

Hi,

ran into the following problem on a W11 PC:

Installed vortex (Vortex-1-1-14-7-1751531301.exe) and dotnet6 (windowsdesktop-runtime-6.0.36-win-x64), afterwards vortex would launch, but complain about C:\Program Files\dotnet\host\fxr\7.0.2\hostfxr.dll being available, but unable to load said file. Continuing from there offered "Quit" which worked, but .. well, quit. Or "fix" - wich led back to the error message (It does look like a download of .net 6.0.26 was attempted in backgroud, but this achieved nothing.

 

I was able to resolve this by additionally installing .net 7.0.20

update: apparently, I made the error on launch disappear, but installing a mod still does not work.

just download `DotNet SDK` not `DotNet Run Time` this will fix problem probably
