KirenDarkfeather
OK. im trying to make a mod where you can get parrying swords (because you cant attack with both hands). So I started on a first sword, Nordic Parrying broadsword. So I put in the mesh for it (Nordic Broadsword) and the icon (obvious) but now im stuck... theres this screen thats like Biped and stuff.. so I looked on a download for another duelwielding mod, and saw for that part they put shield. So I did too. save. enter morrowind. So I buy the sword from the special merchant, and equip it.. nothing appears.. I think it has to do with the male and female part. I looked on the other mod and saw that there was their item from a pulldown list under shield, I looked for mine and it wasnt there.. oh nos! could someone help me? Is that a detailed enough question? =) EDIT:Ok I found out that the male/female part IS the problem, I found this out after plugging in imperial shield and having an imperial shield pop up. I looked under the category weapon, thinking it would be there, but nope!
Sypron
make a new body part with the sword as a meshs, go to the dropdown tab with the armor and valla, theres your armor piece. but it wonts work. i've tried it before, the sword doesn't go in your hand, it gliches in to your forearm. KirenDarkfeather
well at least I know how to get it to appear =) I'll try experimenting to overcome this glitch thankyou =) EDIT: OK I found out how the duel wielding mods work. What they do is they take one mesh, and make another copy of that mesh, but pull the sword down so it appears in your hand.. I have no idea how to adjust the coordinates of a mesh. Sypron
exgactly my point, you can't do it without a moddleing program, it just isent worth the effort to do that.
