7 Days to Die Plugin load order

First off, apologies is this is not the place for this issue to be posted. I was unsure if here or github would be better and this won the coin toss. If there is a better location for plugin issues please let me know.

The other day while dealing with a mod issue I discovered that the Vortex mod load order function for 7DTD plugin is not working properly. If I made changes to the load order and tried to deploy in that order the plugin would revert the ordering back to the previous deploy ordering and then deploy the mods, which would completely void the order changes I made. This would be fairly inconsistent on the first deploy after starting Vortex but would happen every time on the second alteration to the load order.

reproduction

open vortex and enable, then deploy, several mods.

open the load order tab and purge mods, then make changes to the load order.

If you refresh here the load order will revert to the previous deploy order; If you deploy without refresh then the mods will deploy in the previous load order and then the load order list display will revert to the previous deploy order with any new mods added being placed at the end of the load order.

I did find a workaround after several attempts. Set the load order as you need it to be. then export the load order, purge mods and exit vortex. reopen vortex, import the load order you just saved, then refresh the load order, and finally deploy the mods.
