smimic7
I think it's more a problem with MMM because if I disable it everything seems to work fine. I have patch 1.6 and the lastest FOOK and MMM versions. I'm not sure I have the right MMM version though as I downloaded the fomod version and have no idea what that means though I read the readme for MMM. I know I can just start over from vanilla with the non-fomod version but I wanted to know if anyone knows if that is the problem. Also, I'm not quite sure the load order as FOOK says calbr.esm is to be loaded first followed by fook.esm yet MMM says to load MMM.esm first. Additionally the fook.esp says to load it last and so does the MMM.esp and MMM additional addon .esp files. I also have the latest FOSE and FOMM and ArchiveInvalidate. I googled the red exclamation point and found it means there's a texture missing or something but I know I either have the load order wrong, or the fomod version needs me to do something. Sorry if this has been asked but I didn't see it on front page or in the FAQ (though I admit I didn't search as much as I could have).
VerbalEarthworm
the fomod version is for use with FOMM. it allows you to install all the MMM modules via FOMM rather than doing it manually as usual. if you installed the fomod manually then that might be why you are having problems. download and install the normal version if you don't understand how to use the fomod one. not every mod can be last or first in the load order, so play around with the exact ordering until it works for you. go with the vanilla startover and install the non-fomod version (if that's easier). hope that helps. smimic7
okay thanks, that's what I figured I'd have to do I was just wondering if I could click something and fix it easy. off to remod vanilla then :)
smimic7
:wallbash: well I tried every load order possible and I'm still getting it so I decided to upload a pic... maybe that would help? I use 64 bit vista also, is that a problem? again the newest version of FOOK works fine but when I install MMM I get this crap. oh by the way this only happens when I shoot a gun an actually hit a living target... oddly enough it didn't happen when I shot the radroach with the bb gun after the birthday party. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v63/smimic7/ScreenShot0.jpg
october21
Sounds like you're missing (or have mis-installed) an impact texture/decal somewhere. Hard to tell from that picture, but maybe it could also be a blood decal or something. I don't see how MMM would have anything to do with that though... VerbalEarthworm
from the pic and the angle of the !, it could be a missing bullet mesh/texture, so what mods do you have installed that alter bullets? find them and their meshes and textures and doublecheck they are all present and correct. something is definately missing, it's a mesh or a texture, troubleshoot accordingly. october21
Yeah, now that I look at it again, it DOES kinda look like it's more of a missing bullet texture (rather than impact decal). Then again, I don't see a muzzle flash o.O The fact that you said it only happens when you shoot living targets is what puzzled me though...
