I made a change to a mod I don't like. How do I remove the change

I made a change to a mod that changed a hood and now it doesn't display and messes up the hair of the character giving her bald patches on her head. If I use CK to remove the item it seems to remove it from the game not just from the mod. Is there a solution to this or do I have to reset the mod and start over from the beginning?

Can anyone help? I don't what to undo/redo a couple hours work for one mistake...

You might be able to fix it in TES5Edit. You can browse all the changes made to the game by a particular plugin and find the record for the particular change that you want to get rid of and delete it but it all depends on what you changed and whether you have left over records from it in the plugin. I can't give you exact instructions but I've used TESEdit several time to get rid of changes that I didn't want or records that the CK added on its own that I didn't want added such as cell edits. Failing that then you will just need to be sure to make backups in future, there's no "Save as..." option so you will need to copy and paste the esp manually from the Skyrim data folder.

You can get it here: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/25859/?
