Kolani
I've just got Fallout 3 for PC and started mucking with the user created content, and I can't get ANYTHING to work. I have FOMM, I have and have activated ArchiveInvalidation, I'm running FO3 on Vista Home Premium and have it installed to C:/Documents/My Games instead of the default folder. I'm also patched up to version 1.6. I was starting light, trying to run Growlf's texture replacer. I have experience with user content in Bethseda games, most recently Oblivion. I can't get anything to work. I've tried item retextures and skin retextures, and from what I know from Oblivion, they SHOULD be working, but nothing. I start the game and my character still has the basic skin with the basic outfit. Any tips/anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong? I've beat it on the consoles, and bought the PC version so I could dip into the user mods, in particular the Dunwich Building ones.
Callighan
Are you sure the mod .esp files are activated in FOMM and the needed files are in the right directory?
october21
did you set bInvalidateOlderFiles=0 to bInvalidateOlderfiles=1 in your Fallout.ini?
Kolani
Yes and yes. :wallbash: The only thing I haven't done differently from how I did it in Oblivion is unpack the texture archives, but I was told that didn't have to be done in ES4 anyway.
