im new

hi every one i joined because i saw mods for oblivion and since i already played the game for xbox(realy good deal at wall mart for pc version) i figured i would take a look and see what i could posibly do to make oblivion any beter.

although i am not new to games i am very new to modding in fact if someone could tell me how to mod i would get to work on some cool stuff asap so ima do a couple youtube searches and hope for the best

Welcome to the Nexus, you will find it's made of very hard mods to create. Some can took days and weeks or even a month. That's why I give thanks to the hard working modders here.

Actually some of the really big mods took over a year to make. However, many of the smaller ones just a few days. A mod can be as complex as a whole new world, or as simple as changing the color of some object in the game.

 

Start by learning the Construction set - usually abbreviated to CS. It's available free at the Bethesda site.

When you need help, ask. There are many experienced modders here who will be willing to help.

 

We do have a few simple rules for mods that are posted on TesNexus

Please don't incorporate any copyrighted material in your mod - we don't want to be sued.

If you use something made by another modder, try to ask for permission to use it - and always give them credit in your description.

If you use anything from a DLC, be sure to make that DLC a requirement for your mod.

If your mod contains adult material, be sure to mark it as adult only when you upload it

 

And a suggestion, Mod what you like, and what you would like to see in the game. Don't mod to please others.

hi if any one is still paying atention to this i got a tiny handly on modding and released my first mod but i was woundering about texturing so i could fix some problems with other items. i have heard this is hard to do but im willing to learn so if theres like a page for that could u post the URL for me then thanks :thanks:
