Mart's Mutant Mod troubleshooting thread

First, if this exists elsewhere in the forum, I apologize that I could not find it. I posted my question in another thread but I do not believe that particular thread is the right place to go about troubleshooting.

I loaded this version (RC 61), and the RC 62 patch. I have Archive Invalidation Invalidated, Water Tower Hideout, and Explosive Entry as well. All mods are activated.

I am still having mesh/texture glitches with the cereatures from MMM, and just now I came across a Monstrous Dog who did nothing but stand there, even as i shot at it.

My load order is as follows:
Fallout3.esm
ThePitt.esm
BrokenSteel.esm

PointLookout.esm
Zeta.esm
Mart's Mutant Mod.esm
Water Tower Hideout byOrophin.esp
Explosive Entry.esp
Mart's Mutant Mod.esp
Mart's Mutant Mod DLC Broken Steel.esp
Mart's Mutant Mod DLC Zeta.esp
Mart's Mutant Mod DLC Anchorage.esp
Mart's Mutant Mod DLC Point Lookout.esp
Mart's Mutant Mod DLC The Pitt.esp
Mart's Mutant Mod - Master Menu Module.esp

Mart's Mutant Mod - Natural Selection.esp

Mart's Mutant Mod - tougher traders.esp

Mart's Mutant Mod - Zone Respawn.esp

I downloaded and activated MMM RC 61 first, and then the upgrade.

Thanks!

That did not seem to help.

ok, AI not doing what is game engine fact. That dog is not attacking you, and is not dieing. Or ? this makes no sense.

  • Mart's Mutant Mod - Master Menu Module.esp <------remove that or reinstall mmm and use the load order to pick those plugins instead.
  • something else is going on with your set up.

do this: right click the taskbar on the desktop. select "Start Task Manager" ; Select Performance tab; Select Resource Monitor button at the bottom,

With (Resource Monitor) open, minimize the main task manager so it is out of sight.

In the "Resource Monitor", drop down the processes window ,you will see in here all that's running. Move the monitor aside and drag the games icon/short cut to the taskbar "Pin it to the task bar" run the game.

when the game is running, Hit the console key, not the escape key, what I need you to do is Lock all into ram as it is running, not pause the game.

Alt tab out. in the Monitor window, place a check next to fallout3.exe. that process drop down window now needs to be dropped up, but not closed.

On this CPU tab, there is another API called "Associated Handles. drop it open if not open already.

Carefully scroll down and expand the grids so you can see the files paths. what your looking for are the plugins and bsa archives loaded.

your also interested in xlive dll being loaded. ---------------Is all the mods of choice indicated in here? do they show up?

one other small detail. what was used to install the mods? is there an extra mod folder sitting in the data directory?
