VelcroBP
I'm relatively new to modding and only been playing Skryim for a few weeks. I've installed ~15 mods thus far using NMM. I'm looking at probably picking some of the DLC, and am curious how to safely proceed to preserve my current save. Is there a best-practice method for disabling/re-enabling current mods with their corresponding DLC-compatible versions? I think this mostly applies to texture mods, but can't remember which mods i've installed that had separate versions for with/without DLC.
Oisteri
Well, could depend on the mods, but most of the DLC versions of the mods only add stuff, so adding the mid-save should be safe.
Noppius
Usually, and that is very carefully intended, you can just install the DLC and go check on your mods pages to see if there is any patch/update/additional file needed. So i would recommend that you make a copy of your savegames and then check all your mod pages to see if you need to download anything additional.
