Jagged and Black Water edges

I have the Legendary Edition of Skyrim through steam.

First off, my mod list loaded in this order (Problem persists regardless of load order)

 

Workshop:

 

Birds and Flocks Hearthfire edition

SMIM parts 1-5

 

NMM

Skyrim HD, all packs

RealVision ENB 246b

SkyUI

Skyrim Flora Overhaul

 

I HAD Pure Waters installed through the workshop, loaded it very last and that's when the issue started.
The issue persisted after I uninstalled that mod along with the rest and just ran the game Vanilla.

I tried installing Realistic Water Two with the ENB textures, overwriting as I went to see if it would fix the issue, didn't work.

Any Ideas?

I found how to fix this issue last night.

enbprefs - down the bottom of the ini file, there are two options for water.

change them from true -> false.

I tried a bunch of other suggestions I found on the net, reinstalling mods in order and some modifications to the skyrim ini (caused CTD) but the changes to the enb file worked. It's odd because even with the ENB off i was still getting the issue.

in the file enbseries.ini change enable water to false

So i can't change an enbeseries file because i don't use an ENB. any ideas?

tried that: it turned off Pure Waters altogether. not sure what the problem is, because I've installed PW twice and never had this problem before.

It's 2020 and this saved my game!

I came back to OldRim because of this COVID-19 thing. I had the game all perfect, all except for this. It was frustrating to Google for almost a full day and try almost everything and get no results.

Thank you a million times over! It's amazing how 1 line of code can ruin a game. :dance:

May 2020 and this one change has "fixed" my water as well! I'd almost given-up on trying to get clear water, it's a good job there are so many clever people playing Skyrim, lol.

As I understand it, the "realistic water two" mod changes the water's edge itself.
And the "pure waters" mod for some reason does not change.
I also don’t understand why there’s such an edge of water in the stock game.
