Stampede
"Hmmm ok...only thing is...I hope I can get a uniform that fits me. Otherwise that will be our story blown." He stuck his large head out and looked around. "Coast seems clear, lead the way buddy."
Captain Andy
"Yeah, it may be a bit difficult to find a fitting uniform. We'll have to try anyway. And do we plan on killing them, or just giving them a bit of a power nap?" Travis peered out and glanced around before stepping out of their hiding spot and walking down the corridor, making sure Knocko was following. He was a bit nervous, hoping that since security was so relaxed at the moment, they could get this over quickly and easily.
PurpleXVI
Knocko was neither stealthy or hard to spot, so before setting off after the patrol that had just passed them by, Travis showed him the holographic map and told him to circle around and ambush the guards. In the meantime the stealthier man would sneak up on them. As silently as a shadow, the hacker followed the two guards at a distance of only a few metres, flitting from shadow to shadow, never being out in the open for more than a few seconds if he could help it. He found his heart beating rapidly as the patrol came up on the side corridor which Knocko was supposed to be hiding in. Judging the height of the nearest of the two guards, Knocko swung his wrench in a wide arc, intending to clobber him right on the temple and take him out, hopefully without caving in his skull. The blunt weapon struck the black titanglass visor right above where the guard's eyes were, cracking it and making him collapse on the spot. Since he was still breathing, he'd probably come to eventually, but likely with a pounding headache. The other was moving to bring up his assault rifle when he felt the barrel of a pistol being gently pushed into the back of his uncovered neck. For a few tense seconds he seemed to be judging whether to spin around and match his reflexes against his aggressors. Travis found that his finger was ready to reflexively tense around the trigger, if it continued for any longer, he might shoot the guard out of nerves. Then the man cracked. He put up his hands and fell to his knees, softly begging them not to kill him since he had a wife and children. Just a few moments later, the two guards, one conscious and the other not, were nearly naked in a bathroom stall, gagged and wrists tied with their own socks. One of the uniforms was clearly too small for Knocko, being more suited for someone with a frame like Travis. The other looked like it might just fit, but when the big guy put on the upper half of the armored uniform, it tore loudly. The tear was across the shoulders, and might not be noticed right away, but anyone who got more than a passing glance at him was almost sure to spot it. ID found on the two men showed them to be privates Stolt and Djavan. Their assault rifles were unfortunately keyed to their fingerprints and couldn't be used by anyone else. (OOC: For an idea of how the helmets look and cover the faces, think something along the lines of Judge Dredd. Google it if you don't know him. The uniforms are slightly baggy-looking, obviously made to fit a lot of body-sizes without requiring adjustments, and contain hidden armor plates. While not especially effective against rifles, they'll stop most incendiaries, shrapnel, pistol fire and can even prevent a knife from penetrating.) Captain Andy
Travis frowned at the sound and sight of the rip, wishing he had some way to fix it. "Well, crud. That's not a good thing. Wanna go through with the other plan?" Travis placed the helmet on his head, getting used to the way it fit. He holstered his pistol and checked himself out, making sure the armor fit okay. "Either way, I'm ready to roll when you are."
Stampede
"Hmmm I think we'd better take the assault rifles...useless as they may be...it would look strange for us not to have it." He tried to suck in his ample gut "Ok look, I know this uniform is too tight, but I'm not that much bigger than its previous owner...I say we both stick to the role of guards." Captain Andy
OOC: I'll let someone else handle you. IC: Travis shrugged and went to grab one of the assault rifles, but hesitated. "They're not going to go kablamo or something, if we grab them right? Or send off some signal? You sure they're okay to pick up?" He raised an eyebrow at the gun, and turned to Knocko. "I know I sound paranoid, sorry. I suppose we'll both go as guards. If anyone asks about the rip, we could say it got caught on something. Try and come up with a second one, as back up of course." Stampede
"Right, let's go." Knocko tried to make a mental list of all the offences and charges that could be brought up against him now. Assault...check....hmmm maybe construed as attempted murder?Trespassing...theft...conspiracy to commit treason. He just hoped that these guys worked on an ask questions first policy. PurpleXVI
(OOC: Stampy? Seriously, I don't know what accident happened, but you just edited my goddamn post out of existence. This is a new one. Further OOC: In case you've forgotten the lay-out of the central hall, it's a long rectangular area, white metal floors, walls and ceiling like the rest of the base. AT one end is the door to the main computer room, it's a wide door that opens by seperating at the middle and sliding into the walls. At the other end is a door of the same design, which leads to a guard room. Six corridors lead into the hall, three on each side. Also: What does vulk mean?) Encountering no guards or security systems, Travis and Knocko managed to reach the main hall without any problems. There were guards at both ends, two at the doors to the guard room, two at the entrance to the computer room. Unlike the guards walking the corridors, these all looked alert and ready to react. No doubt their commanding officers had warned them since they were guarding important parts of the base. While the two figured out what to do, another patrol of two men crossed the large hall. They looked at ease, like the patrol they had ambushed, further reinforcing the idea that only the really vital personnel had been warned.
Stampede
OOC: Oh come on...you know you liked it. With his thoughts drifting back home, Knocko whispered: "I'm stumped...I had a plan...but I guess it won't work. I'm not giving up though...damn...not after all I've had to risk. You got any ideas?"
