mechine
Well most people only use the fallout 3 launcher to change the game settings. Besides that it's useless. We use FOMM to launch, or FOMM to launch FOSE, or just use FOSE to launch FOMM is fallout mod manager, FOSE is fallout script extender It sounds like what you have is that the Autoplay doesn't see that you installed or have one installed Did you rename the folder or something, or place the BethesdaSoftworks folder inside another folder Like maybe a folder named games or Fallout3poop It should be either C:/bethesda softworks or D:/ bethesda softworks not C:/my cool games/bethesda softworks Also we don't install in program files for performance reasons which would be C:program files\bethesda softworks The default install path is something like that You're launcher short cut could be messed up too, an be pointing to the setup.exe or whatever It depends on where you installed it too, that is if you wanted to fix it without installing it againIf you installed it to the wrong place then yes, you should reinstall itYou could try moving the files, idk I wouldn't I would just reinstall something else you should read a lot of the pinned topics

mechine
Well I'd plan on installing 3-4 times or more before you get pretty good at installing mods with it You can follow guides like the pinned topics here on the forum or the old ultimate load order guide, you know follow someone elses instructions to making a good install You have to understand a lot an know what to look for Which is why it takes a few installs to yeild a really clean install that doesn't crash a lot It's tough, an nothing is easy when it comes to this, tons of work, but really worth it.
