Save Us Sloth
ok i will try my best to explain this problem... now, every time i install a mod with Textures, i extract the file with WinRaR to my fallout 3 Data section. Then when the file is in the Fallout 3 Data i extract the Texture file to Texture.rar, then i get the option to move file to texture folder in fallout data. and then when i play the game all the Textures are muddled up like they change colour when there not supposed to, it's very annoying. This has been going on for a while now and i have reinstalled the game so many times and installed different mods... i've tried everything but it doesn't work :wallbash: . Am i doing something wrong with the Textures?, or shouldn't i use WinRar to extract my data i read all the descriptions of the mod Readme files but they don't give you much help, i never had this problem with Oblivion or Morrowind!. If anyone could please help me i would really appreciate it
VerbalEarthworm
you need to invalidate the old files so that the new ones are used, best get ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=944 install it and Activate it. this will cure your problem. SaphyrBlaze
you need to invalidate the old files so that the new ones are used, best get ArchiveInvalidationInvalidated: http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=944 install it and Activate it. this will cure your problem. I've been having the same problem as this person, but it it only happens with some mods (and it's always armor that's wonky). With other mods, the textures work fine. I made sure to do the whole Invalidation thing before I started installing any mods. I did it manually and I've double checked that I did everything correctly. I know I'm installing everything correctly as I've never had a problem with Oblivion. I'm having no problem with the functionality of the game; it's just textures that are giving me problems. If there's anything you could suggest, I would be ever so grateful. I've noticed texture issues with these mods so far. I'm running the game on approx. Medium settings.:http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=9097 (Not all pieces, but a fair amount are wonky.)http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4616 (A large amount are messed up.)http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=10183 (Pretty much everything.)http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5483 (The whole thing has wonky textures.) Alastair91
Could you please post screenshots? I have both of the top 2 mods running and haven't notice any texture problems before.
FadingCeiling
Are you sure you have all the pre-requisites for the said mods installed? I noticed that atleast the top mod of the four has a few pre-reqs.
Branimirzg
My quess is that you haven't invalidated archive correctly... Use one of the tools instead of changing it manualy(In fallout mod manager use toggle invalidation button)
SaphyrBlaze
Well, I feel silly. I activated Archive Invalidation with the mod manager and now, everything is working just fine. Thanks all for your help!
