limberc
Hello, this is a suggestion for a damage dealing/taking overhaul, i don't know how much of this(if any) is possible to impliment, but it would be nice to see at present, npcs can die from being shot in the foot and survive with arrows through their heads instead of this health only system we could have a hitbox system, with different damage/effects for each hitbox, for example hitboxes; head/neckshoulders/armshearttorsolegs imagine taking a certain % damage to your legs makes you unable to run, or move with a limp and taking damage to either shoulder/arm makes your attacks with that arm slower and deal less damage being grazed in the head/neck with a weapon creates a temporary effect such as a blurr/slows you down and slowly drains life, which means you will die unless eventually healed being stabbed or shot through the head/neck or heart = death armor and helmets have an added effect which increases the chance to deflect attacks to vital areas, so that you are grazed or not hit more of the time the same applies for NPCs and creatures a few extras would be a power attack like a thrust/stab with a sharp weapon, which you would try to aim roughly at a vital area for a kill or a power attack to try and behead an opponent with a sword or crush them with a mace/hammer same applies for magic damage, having your legs burnt past a certain % would affect your ability to walk, or taking a shock blast to the heart would kill you hope this gives someone some ideas at least :) the scale of changes needed with all the weapons/armors and sheer number of creatures in the game, modded and unmodded would make this mod difficult to impliment but it would also mean a huge change to combat, adding tactical depth :)
Sowilo1211
What you're looking for is probably a mix between Locational Damage and Deadly Mutilation. Have you seen those mods before?
