Hi I just started messing with the ENB with the Photoreal settings. However I noticed that both the photoreal and default ENB do something with shadows I find intolerable. The vanilla game has a way of blurring and blending its, albeit ugly, shadows. This produces a natural enough soft lighting/shadow for screenshots. But the ENB changes the smooth shadow to gritty pixelated splotches. Also the ENB does something to the eyes and dims them. This was a persistent problem and not just isolated to that screenshot. The shadow area in question is to the upper right of her forehead and the lower right of her hair. It also is caused by her necklace though that might not be visible in the SS. Anyone know of a tweak or fix for this? It's just enough to hold me back from using ENBs. Thanks!

Change the following:

---- in the SkyrimPrefs.ini file.

iBlurDeferredShadowMask=2 ----------> increase it to 5, 6 or 7

fShadowBiasScale=0.1800 ----------> increase to 0.2 to 0.25

---- in your enbseries.ini file, try these settings (ensure that you have EnableDetailedShadow=false ---> set to true).

[sHADOW]

ShadowCastersFix=true
UseBilateralShadowFilter=true
ShadowQualityFix=true
DetailedShadowQuality=0
ShadowFilterQuality=0
ShadowBlurRange=6.0
ShadowBlurRangeInterior=6.0

As well, it's not ENB itself that's at fault, but individual author's different settings. Some ENBs's shadow settings work just fine, others have the problems your screenshots clearly demonstrate.

Well that not only solved the gritty shadow problem but I believe those settings boosted the shadow attractiveness immensely thank you!

However her eyes are still dim compared to no ENB. Any ideas?

In your enbseries.ini:

[EYES]
SubSurfaceScatteringMultiplierSunrise=5.0
SubSurfaceScatteringMultiplierDay=5.0
SubSurfaceScatteringMultiplierSunset=5.0
SubSurfaceScatteringMultiplierNight=5.0
SubSurfaceScatteringMultiplierInteriorDay=10.0
SubSurfaceScatteringMultiplierInteriorNight=10.0
SubSurfaceScatteringPowerSunrise=0.9
SubSurfaceScatteringPowerDay=0.9
SubSurfaceScatteringPowerSunset=0.9
SubSurfaceScatteringPowerNight=0.9
SubSurfaceScatteringPowerInteriorDay=1.4
SubSurfaceScatteringPowerInteriorNight=1.4

Play around with these settings.

Unfortunately that didn't change anything. I also tried putting in the max values in the enbseries.ini before loading the game, nothing.
