I recently got a mod...this mod.

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/25505/?tab=4&&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fcomments%2F%3Fmod_id%3D25505%26page%3D1%26sort%3DDESC%26pid%3D0%26thread_id%3D806687&pUp=1

and I really like it.

but its way too overpowered, with all 5 perks of the first perk in the one handed skill tree, it dose over 300 dmg for me.

can someone make a fix to it?

I'm wanting someone to lower the base damage to say 15 or 20?

That would be a little tougher than the skyfordge steel sword.

also maybe rename it to Dark Steel Sword? (having a sword that looks cool named "simple steel sword" makes me feel silly)

you wouldn't have to add the meshes and textures from the original mod, just the esp with the edited name and dmg.

I would be really grateful to anyone who would do this for me.

P.S.

and before anyone asks!

no I cant get the creation kit "do it myself".

my home internet wont survive downloading a file that's 80000 kb, and there's about 5 feet of snow on the ground outside my door and I don't feel like walking 10 miles to town to the library in below zero weather......

lol

TES5Edit is some sort of minimalist esp editor and is mainly used to clean plugins but can be utilized to tweak them aswell.

Think of it as the CS stripped down to the absolutely necessary features.

Here you go.

As I said, the zip is roughly 2.7 mb in size, extracted it takes up around 7.5 mb disk space - no install, just extract and run.

As soon as you run it, you'll get prompted with a list of all available masters and plugins. simply rightclick and chose "select none", after that search for your plugin and check the box next to it and hit OK (masters are loaded atomatically).

After it finishes loading the masters and the plugin are displayed as a file tree on the left side. simply expand the plugin tree and within that the weapon tree. since it lists only the actual content of the plugin, finding the weapon is as easy as 123.

Highlight the weapon and its stats get displayed on the right side. Scroll down to an entry called "DATA - Game Data" and you see the three main Values: Weight, Value (to sell) and Damage. Doubleclick the value and edit it as you like.

Further down there is another entry called "CRDT - Critical Data", where the first value is also called Damage. I'm not 100% sure what this value exactly does since it appears to be too high for an multiplier but too low for a simple additional damage.

But to be sure you can crosscheck the values with the vanilla weapons, just expand the Skyrim.esm file tree and its weapons.
