KeeperFiM Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Does skyrim still flip the freak out if you disable vsync? Like get physics bugs and day/night timescale bugs?
blehmeh Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Don't quote me on this, but as I understand it, Skyrim's physics get wonky out if you're regularly going over 60 frames a second. The only thing I've experienced in my brief experimentation is my character occasionally using the swimming animation while running.

I've seen people post about the physics going crazy with vsync off and I've seen it happen in videos. But other people say they have dozens and dozens of hours played with no problems. It's mind-boggling.
blehmeh Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Well, it's just a thought, but maybe those people only average 60 frames or less with the vsync off?
KeeperFiM Posted February 1, 2014 Author Posted February 1, 2014 Well, it's just a thought, but maybe those people only average 60 frames or less with the vsync off?I saw in a thread that some bugs will still occur with vsync off and less than 60 FPS, such as the day/night timescale bug http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1280991-do-not-disable-vsync/
Skateboards Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Jack's butt has been confirmed for causing more bugs than Vsync offHahBut yea even if you have to turn Vsync off, you should use an SKSE plugin to limit your frames in any case.
