I played, loved and ended FO3 when it came out and decided to wait a while till two or three DLCs came out before continuing my game. Finally after Point Lookout came out, I couldn't wait any longer. I had finished the game on my old PC in XP, so I installed a fresh copy (in vista) and copied in my saves (that i had saved from the last play). Next I d/l-ed The Pitt, Broken Steel and Point Lookout. The latter two were simple rar archives that had 1 esm file and 2 bsa files each. I extracted them and placed all 6 files in FO3's data folder. Pitt was some sort of exe installer but from what i could tell all it did was place 3 files in the same folder as well. Happy and high, I booted up FO3, checked all 3 DLCs in the data option and loaded up my last game save (right before the final choice). By the time the choice came up, I had recieved one message telling me Broken Steel has loaded and that my d/l cap was now 30 (I was already on lv.20). I'm not sure if you're suppose to or not but I reieved no messages concerning Pitt or Lookout. I made the heroic choice, sacrificed my life, saw the ending cutscene. Then 2 Weeks Later flashed onscreen. Screen brightened up to the view of a ceiling(?)(not-sure). Everytime I press 'E', my character moans and groans but nothing else happens. I stay in the bed(I presume) and the game just doesn't move forward. I tried the whole thing 2-4 times and each time with the same result. Once I might have heard a robotic voice but it was not followed by anything else. So now these are my problems: -Broken steel glitch? How do I get past it? If I can't, where can I get a correct copy [without paying of course ;)]? Maybe you can point me to the correct torrent (unless it's against forums rules) -Why no reaction of the game to the installation of the other two DLCs? I was too depressed to load an earlier save and see if I get any new radio transmissons after an hour's gameplay or something. Oh, and another thing I noticed was, everytime I turned the game on, the DLCs are unchecked and I have to manually check them. echelon99 Posted July 16, 2009 Author Share Posted July 16, 2009 thanks for the info, i'll get working on the patches now. i forgot which mission was american dream? if by the purifier, you mean that virus they gave me to inject into the water supply, i took the vial but handed it to the good guys (sorry, it's been a while, i've forgotten all the names. i gave it to the really old dude whose daughter accompanied me to the final area of the game).
