Game freezes while playing Operation Anchorage

I'm trying to play the DLC Operation Anchorage. ATM, I'm trying to clear out the Chimera Depot, but my game is keeps freezing on me. What happens is, I level up, I distribute my XP, then I select a perk, and the game freezes. It's frozen on me three times. The third time happened when I was running past the fuel tank. The fuel tank exploded, I got killed, then the game froze. Has any one else encountered this besides me?

I'm not sure what's going on, and it's starting to get a little annoying. Any suggestions or ideas on how to fix this would be helpful.

what you have going on is duplicates in inventory, and outside the game are loading many of the same item instead of just one item overwriting another, you have both loading up.

 

The clue here is T-51 and the source of the problem is that is being over written By (Updated Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch.esm) as a master, now, this overwrites the main master and you have yet another mod, an esp mod bellow that overwriting it. (Winterized_T51b_Patch.esp)

 

I would freeze up too with all of that. (Updated Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch.esm) targets that very armor, what you have there is a mess.

 

fix it? decide what you want first.

Okay, I don't get what your saying. Are you recommending that I remove the Winterized T-51b Patch? I had to download the T-51b patch, because I am using the Bornagain T-51b retexture mod. The problem is that that mod, for some unknown reason, does not cover the Winterized T-51b PA, and because of that, the T-51b textures are as white as a clean t-shirt, or as the mod author calls it, bright as a lightbulb.

Now,the source of the t-45d is fallout3 ,plain Jane armor, NOT Broken steel. So this one is base code and will always load.

Anchorage will always load.

 

1. Updated Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch.esm <---This has instruction, corrections for armor your over writing, and that over write is incorrect as it's source for it's instructions are NOT that of "Updated Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch.esm"<<<< that is a big fat stop sign in the middle, your issue is, your using 2 plugins to over come a fix for a Default bug that is contained in the very plugins your using. Listed in orange.
2. The instructions From (Updated Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch.esm) do not effect the textures so your battling a dead horse.

To fix this and set things stright, merge these two :

• Bornagain Outcast T-45d Texture Patch.esp

• Winterized_T51b_Patch.esp

To Winterised A-BO T-45d-T51b.esp...<---- Flip the master flag on your merged file, delete the others here, rename the last letter to (M) on the file you make and load it above "Updated Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch.esm"

Unfortunately, I don't know how to merge patches. I don't know anything about modifying FO3's .ini file to make it work on a Windows 8 OS, that's why I downloaded and installed the Updated Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch, as it makes those changes to the .ini file. I've only played with mods, I've never made one.

 

I went ahead and deactivated and removed theBornagain FO3 T51b Winterized PA Fix - Winterized T51b Fix for BornAgains T51b Retexture. I stored the Winterized T-51B for now so it's not an issue ATM. I dropped a line on the mod author's page for the Bornagain FO3 T51b Winterized PA Fix - Winterized T51b Fix for BornAgains T51b Retexture about the issue.

Winterized_T51b_Patch.esp <---- where did you get that from? which mod?

 

the search led me to so many version of "WinterizedT51b's" it is just silly trying to find the right one to compare the codes inside them for you.

So , just post the page link here some place of where you got the mods from, I already downloaded Born-again data....all aspects of that term just encase I missed something.

 

I will load these till my load order matches what you posted here.

The name of the mod is called Bornagain FO3 T51b Winterized PA Fix. Just type in Bornagain or Born Again into the Nexus Search bar as shown and you will get only 6 options. Don't just type in Winterized T-51b, other wise your going to get too many selections. And don't type it as Born-again, it's not spelled that way, either Born Again or Bornagain will suffice. The patch is on the top left. The name of the mod author is Vitalsine, and the place I got it from is the only place I've been getting my mods from, the Nexus. I have not gone anywhere else for mods.

Those are the two files I found and down loaded, only one esp exists ( Bornagain Outcast T-45d Texture Patch.esp )

 

Is is not in that package.

How many "bornagain" mods are there? so far seven. I got two out of seven ,the two I got were the only ones I was interested in as they Both effect "Anchorage DLC", the other should not. Of these two, there are two naming schemes for the mesh armor and helmet. that is where the flaw is.

 

1. Winterized T51b\meshes\armor\t-51bpowerarmor That's one path for the helm and outfit.
2. Winterized T51b\meshes\DLCAnch\Armor\T-51bPowerArmor That is the other path for the same data + Gloves and things .

Like I said before, you can only use one outfit to override anchorage outfit, not two. The problem is this, the mesh names are all the same name and the game uses names of the files to post the 3d data in game.

I bet the other t45d is the same way too. the path ..............

 

I am sorry, I can't help you, you must decide which one you want to use at one time, you can't use them both on the same outfit.

 

there is no merging here to be done. And it gets even better, do you know just how many other mods contain the same data?

Try about two hundred or so.
