standalone09 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 So im currently level 25 in my first "official" cheat free play throgh of skyrim and i would like to know how you guys actually play skyrim like are you grinding your skills till 50 and start questing or do you even never do something like "powerlevel" and simply enjoy the freedom of choice the game gives you questing or whatever
Hyacathusarullistad Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 The only skills I ever find myself grinding or training are Smithing and to a lesser extent Enchanthing. All the others I find increase quite naturally through regular play, and which skills I see level most obviously depends on what kind of character I'm playing.
Lord Garon Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Chase bad guys, not skill levels. As Hya says, what you actually use the most will naturally go up by itself. Grinding skills puts you in a loop; you grind em, you use em cause they're higher, you keep grinding. Play to have fun, don't grind, and see what kind of character develops. It may not be the one you thought you wanted.
madcow12 Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 i use the uncapper and set it so that enchanting, alchemy, and smithing will increase my PC level meter at a tenth of the meter, and although i find even this too much, it says using too low a value may break the game so i'm quite hesitant to go below that. this lets me safely raise my smithing without leveling up and thereby making my enemies harder as well

chanchan05 Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 I just do quests as they come regardless of level. The way Skyrim is designed, you don't need to do any grinding.
SomethingCrazy Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 I play Skyrim by using my keyboard and mouse.
N7R Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 I just play the game and let my skills level up on their own. A few like enchantments and smithing I work a little bit more to grind though since I have a lot of custom armor mods I want to craft and enchant them.
